This in this morning:

“My construction friend said he talked to two separate people who had been to Chernobyl recently and asked how things were there. They both separately said concrete is constantly being poured in the “hole” and being eaten up and that the situation is bad. One said that there is an expectation we may see the biggest volcanic action in history coming out of it.”

Anyone know of current reports on conditions at Chernobyl that could further illuminate what the status of the clean up is? ~ Catherine

Catherine: No…I am not privy to the NSA analysts’ daily report…But there are a number of scientific concerns besides the well known potential that the nuclear core @ Chernobyl could cascade through the manmade concrete underbelly into the crust and then through the layers of water and eventually reaching the magma ( presumably also tampering with the magnetic core as well !!!!)…Another scary thought concerns the restarting of the supercollider on the French/Swiss border that many fear might form a “small black hole” which could consume all matter as we know it….Remember Enrico Fermi and his colleagues were in uncharted territory when they started a nuclear reactor first in Chicago; and then in the atmosphere; and it was feared then that it might ignite the Van Allen Belt surrounding the earth…( in a movie version of Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea… this event was actually portrayed as a visual…). When I see those “experts” touting the efficacy of nuclear power rather than renewables, I cringe!!!! I hope you eventually receive the answer you seek…In addition, and unrelated to your question: scientists are deep core drilling the Antarctic in hope to discover “pre-historic or alien microscopic lifeforms”–just imagine that when/if they do succeed the human race might not have any immunity to it…and it becomes a biological weapon. Of course this survey is in preparation for a Mars landing and mining operation that science has always dreamed about and if given the oportunity would invest all our wealth as a futuristic method of energy replacement for the entire planet as we run out of fossil fuels….Sorry I couldn’t shed any light on your inquiry, but rather went on this rant, Richard

  4. Catherine: You are up rather late!! or is 11:20 EST and you are in CST??…Thanks for the polite reply. I am awake now in the early pre dawn of another fine day in America..HA!! and find that I even after another somewhat restful night I still have a somewhat bitter viewpoint even at this early hour concerning the disintegration of a world I once was very much in love with…One of my favorite ways to answer is: “I love America, I just can’t find it anymore..”HA! “…the patterns we weave in a psychic storm.” Well, I’m going to have to digest that one for a while. Must be the full moon. HA! Are you invited to the May 12-14 train venture to Jekkyl Island with Bob Schutz ( of WE THE PEOPLE fame ), Ed Vierra and others…for a pre discussion of a new continental congress??
