Dolly Parton
(1946-2026)

Few will be unaware that country music superstar and Sevier County, Tennessee native Dolly Parton has passed away at the age of 80.
Parton’s achievements in the music world are legendary. Over her 60-plus-year career, she became one of the best-selling music artists of all time, selling over 100 million records and earning 11 Grammys as well as numerous other musical honors. In interviews, she said she identified “first and foremost” as a songwriter, writing more than 3,000 songs, including “Coat of Many Colors,” “Jolene,” and “I Will Always Love You” (a song made even more famous by Whitney Houston’s cover in the 1992 movie The Bodyguard).
Parton had no children of her own but seems to have relished the fairy godmother role—the Imagination Library charity she established has sent over 300 million books to children around the world over the past 30 years. In her own Sevier County, the Dollywood Foundation has given scholarships to high school students, incentivized seventh- and eighth-graders to complete high school, and distributed relief to families that had homes destroyed in wildfires. As The Guardian comments, “It is telling that the tributes shared after Parton’s death … have been equally about her philanthropy and her music. There was so much of both.”
The entertainment industry is notorious for extracting its pound of flesh (or worse) from the stars it has helped to reach the pinnacle of success. Thus, it is disappointing but not surprising that while Parton credited songwriting with keeping her “sane in an insane world,” she, like many other celebrities, appears to have felt compelled to participate in the Covid insanity. In addition to establishing the “Dolly Parton COVID-19 Research Fund” at Tennessee’s Vanderbilt Health (an institution that continuously benefited from her largesse), she repurposed “Jolene” to promote the Covid shots in a staged news spot at Vanderbilt. Telling her fans that she was “smart enough to get [the shots]” and announcing that she would receive the Moderna injection on camera, she added, “To all of you cowards out there, don’t be such a chicken squat—get out there and get your shot.”
We nevertheless give Parton credit, not just for her talent, business acumen, and fierce commitment to her country roots, but also for a generosity of heart and spirit that, by all accounts, was sincere and lifelong.

I appreciate the inclusion of Ms.Parton’s prominent roll in financing and propagandizing the COVID death shot, (seemingly to her own demise). Nevertheless I don’t agree that she is any sort of hero. How many dead and damaged people are due to her using her influence to literally shame her audience, calling us cowards unless we did what we were told and offered up an arm to have an injection of “experimental” straight up poison. Sorry, but that is her legacy as far as I’m concerned.
Curious if you have an IRA, 401k or brokerage account. If so, have you looked at whether you are financing big pharma, financial corruption and the control grid?
Dolly is not a hero of the week. She is part of the entertainment cult. Most likely, a monarch mind control victim as shown thru the butterfly symbolism. She was used for social engineering. She joked during a radio interview, “Oh, is that where I am going ? ” when the radio interviewer said something about her going to heaven.
Rumors are children are trafficked under Dollywood.
No celebrity should be worshipped.
I left a well paid job in a large technology company when I discovered what they were up to. I walked away….
Was it possible for Dolly to walk away when told to push the Covid jab ? Only her handler knows.
My guess is that the pressure was immense if not dangerous. I have never seen evidence of whatever mind control she dealt with. Everyone of us has dealt with it in one form or another. She is a woman who did not leave to go to NY or LA. Like Elvis she stayed in TN and her work created thousands of jobs, enterprises. And her music brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. I saw her perform in Amory Mississippi – she preformed as a gift for charity. Will never forget that performance – her talent was astonishing. What she did in Covid was wrong. But when the lives of my family were threatened, I backed down. No one was hurt but me. So I would not have done what she did – and that was one of the reasons I never had children. I knew I could not keep them safe when it came down to these moments.
I find it hard to believe that you would give Dolly hero of the week when she pushed the Covid shots.
I did because she did so much good, including for the people of Tennessee. At the time she pushed them, my assessment was she was under heavy pressure to do so. It does not excuse it, but there is a vast difference between the people who legislated and financed it and turned the coercion and blackmail machinery on and the people who got coerced and blackmailed. I could not tell when she promoted them if she got the real shot or not. Given how she died, she might have. Hank Aaron was a great hero of mine. He took them and pushed them and it clearly killed him.
