This week’s Hero of the Week is Attorney Bobbie Anne Cox, who boasts an impressive 25-year career in the legal field.

Prior to establishing her own firm, Cox excelled in transactional, regulatory, and litigation law at the renowned international law firm Nixon Peabody, LLP in Manhattan, specializing in environmental, land use, zoning, and finance law.

Cox now leads her own firm, Cox Lawyers, PLLC, located just north of New York City, where she represents clients in lawsuits against municipalities, challenging unjust property assessments imposed by the government.

In the current era of Covid restrictions, she also actively advocates for New York lawmakers and citizens, fighting against government overreach. Notably, Attorney Cox achieved a landmark victory by defeating Governor Kathy Hochul and the Department of Health in a case involving unconstitutional Isolation and Quarantine Procedures. New York State won on appeal, and Cox is now taking the case to the highest court.

In addition to her legal practice, Attorney Cox has served on various boards of directors and boards of managers for private and non-profit organizations, providing valuable guidance on policy, budget, and advocacy matters.
