How Poland Kept Its Culture

July 14, 2026

What does “building the culture” mean in practice? Dr. Joseph P. Farrell and Elze van Hamelen focus on what can be learned from Poland’s development (while a satellite state of the Soviet Union) of a successful, nonviolent resistance movement that built on Poland’s rich cultural and historical traditions.

  1. This is a very personal comment about the Polish culture. I myself am 93% French, with my father’s lineage Acadian French who left (or fled) southern France in 1644 to what is now eastern Canada. Having said this, I fell in love with the continuing art of Polish pottery. Most of what I use for the art of eating (very French of me) as well as glasses and vessels for baking are these beautiful handmade (and signed) and fired pottery pieces made in the various villages within Poland. Every size of dish, bowl, serving piece, baking dish is different. I go to my glass door where my dishes are stored to select which pattern or piece I will eat on for that meal. Perhaps obsessive, yet the colors and designs and the sheer beauty of their art makes eating what I make sheer pleasure.
