It’s interesting seeing Grace putting her finger into her ear so that she can hear herself singing, to make sure that she’s singing on key. This was in the days before vocal PA systems became standard on stage, and long before wearing earpieces became common for singers. If you’ve never seen the movie Monterey Pop, it does a tremendous job of capturing the vibe, the feeling, and the incredible music from that tremendous moment in time back in the late 1960s.
Great suggestion. Monterey Pop on the list.
The closing performance in the movie by Ravi Shankar leaves everyone spellbound with a wonderful, mystical, spiritual aura all around.
Yes, many amazing performances. Joplin, Hendrix, Shankar.
Great memories 😉 back to the times when music meant something significant
