Let’s Go to the Movies: Week of April 17, 2023: Princes of the Yen

With the theme of our 1st Quarter 2023 Wrap Up and next week’s Solari Report featuring Prof. Richard Werner on “The Future of Financial Freedom,” the recommended movie this week is the definitive documentary on the power of central banks titled Princes of the Yen. The documentary is based on Richard Werner’s 2003 book by the same title, which became a number-one bestseller in Japan.
The film provides a broader understanding of how money works—and how it is created—and what role the central banks have played and are playing in past and current economic crises. Who benefits from the rules and regulations of the “free” market?
The documentary was produced by a courageous team of filmmakers under director Michael Oswald, who took on a task from which larger producers and publishers shied away after apparent invisible pressure.

Excellent recommendation. Thank you! Wish I’d seen this and been aware of Richard Werner all those years ago.
