Let’s Go to the Movies: Week of January 25, 2021 – The Spider’s Web: Britain’s Second Empire.

This documentary is a rare explanation of the mysterious workings of the City of London and the UK’s extensive offshore haven system. It details the transformation of the UK as a colonial superpower into a global financial superpower. The documentary was co-produced by film maker Michael Oswald and John Christensen of the Tax Justice Network.
You can find a review by Joel Benjamin here, who was interviewed for the film on issues of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and tax avoidance.
