Let’s Go to the Movies: Week of July 19, 2021: The Loneliest Whale

Just released: a fascinating documentary film about the quest to find the only whale producing a song with the frequency of 52 Hz.
One of the most impactful experiences of my life was sailing next to several whales. My prayer is that we respect and protect the whales and the oceans in which they swim and sing.
Here is an opportunity to learn more about these extraordinary mammals.
Learn more at the movie’s website.

OH MY!!! Can’t wait to watch the movie!! I had a patient who used to travel the world taking photos and experiencing minke whales. She had fascinating stories and photos. One experience was swimming with them when suddenly one of the minke whales moved from horizontal to vertical position with fins out right up along side of her as if to dance with her. I experienced her experiences vicariously and so enjoyed it!

Yup. It is good by documentary to ride around in a boat with a group of wonderful oceanographers hanging out with whales.

Thank you so much; it was wonderful. The fact that the shipping lanes, of commerce & trade, cross the whales’ paths sets reality of just how debased humanity has become. So disconnected…

Yes, we really are. Can not imagine the planetary field without the whales.
