Source Mar 4, 2025: In 2024, production of rare earths in Brazil was estimated at approximately 20 metric tons of rare-earth oxide equivalent, down from 140 tons a year earlier. Rare earths production in the South American country decreased significantly since 2016. Brazil has one of the largest rare earth reserves in the world, estimated at 21 million metric tons of rare-earth oxide (REO).
