Trump seems committed to ensuring that a strong dollar does not mess up exports or the consolidation of earnings. Dollar is down. So is oil. Most everything else is up, up and away. Emerging market equities are particularly strong. If there is a real ceiling on the US dollar, than emerging markets may be this years opportunity. The big global multinationals are in retreat – not the locals.
