With absolutely no warning or consultation, the Province of Alberta changed its regulations regarding butchering on farms. As of July 4th (yesterday), farmers are no longer allowed to butcher their own livestock, effective immediately. They are required to send all their livestock to one of four government-approved facilities in the Province.
Farmers in the Province are in shock. No doubt, vaccines will be required.
