“I’ve taught for 24 years. I’m never wrong about these things…. [I]t’s a pissing burden.”

Harry Wild
Sometimes we just feel like fun entertainment. Here is one for such moments. It is a four-season TV comedy-drama series about an Irish private investigator named Harry Wild, played by British actress Jane Seymour.
Harry is a retired literature professor. In each show, Harry and her partner, a young high school student named Fergus, solve a crime in the Dublin area. The shows are good fun—and it is nice to have a detective mystery in which it pays to know history and literature, the police chief is admirable, and the good guys teach the young people how to be successful.
And let’s face it, we all enjoy the company of the Irish!

I am always curious about Jane Seymour because around ten years ago I was told she lives in the same village as one of the Beatles sons guards. He told me while in service to one in my yard at a barbecue that she had the most beautiful garden in the village they both lived in. The way he described it prompted me to hire someone to take down trees for more sunlight to have a veggie garden and flower gardens built. I enjoyed it so much I would often think gratefully about how her garden and this very kind guard described the beautiful village they lived in. It inspired me.
