Four Movies for Four Scenarios
Long-time Solari Report subscribers know that we are fans of scenario planning as a risk navigation tool. In addition to the scenarios for 2026 included in our 2025 Annual Wrap Up, we have just published four possible scenarios that attempt to frame the intent of the people and institutions implementing programmable money and related systems. The scenarios arise from the intersection of two variables: Financial Transactions (Financial Transaction Freedom vs. Financial Transaction Control) and Level of Centralization (Decentralized vs. Centralized).
Officialdom tends to dismiss the concept of movie-led “predictive programming” as a “conspiracy theory,” but sometimes there is nothing like a movie for providing insights on elite agendas and tactics. For each of the four programmable money scenarios, therefore, we have selected a movie that does a good job of conveying the essence of that scenario.
- Scenario #1: The Republic – It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
- Scenario #2: The Invisible Fence – The Circle (2017)
- Scenario #3: The Permitted Life – The Lives of Others (2006)
- Scenario #4: High-Tech Feudalism – Elysium (2013)
We invite you to read the description of the four scenarios and then add the four movies (see links below) to your watch/rewatch list.

The Lives of Others is a brilliant movie. I have to watch it in English because I grew up with Austrian German, so it’s hard for me to understand the East German dialect.
