Movie of the Week: November 4, 2024: [S]election Code

“What if our leaders aren’t actually being elected by us, but instead…selected?”
~ [S]election Code website
The 2022 documentary [S]election Code tells the story of Tina Peters, who as a County Clerk in Mesa County, Colorado made a backup of her county’s Dominion Voting Systems server, only to stumble across evidence of manipulation in a recent city council election and also the 2020 general election.
Peters’ discovery upended her life, earning her a major helping of deep state tactics, including an extensive smear campaign and costly lawfare. In August 2024, she received a nine-year sentence for actions related to supposedly “false claims” about voting machine fraud in the 2020 presidential race. The district judge who sentenced Peters nastily condemned her for being “as defiant as any defendant this court has ever seen.” Peters pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In a post-conviction interview, Peters noted that the prosecution would not let her legal team present any of their “affirmative evidence,” with the result that relevant evidence was kept from the jury. She is now appealing.
Peters comments in [S]election Code,
“Politicians and the media have done a good job in wiring our minds to distrust anyone who thinks differently. It’s always been a game of divide-and-conquer. To gain the power and control they desire, our selected leaders will stop at nothing to destroy the lives and reputations of anyone who dares to call out their big lies.”
She also notes, “Everyone can do something. There are more of us than there are of them. They can’t get us all.”
