Music of the Week: April 12, 2024: Al Jolson – April Showers

This week, let’s enjoy some wonderful 1920s music rolling over hills of daffodils in April….
“April Showers” is a song from the 1921 musical Bombo, performed by Al Jolson, one of the greatest American jazz and Broadway singers and entertainers from 1920 right through to World War II. This performance is a clip from the 1946 biographical movie The Jolson Story, starring Larry Parks as Jolson but with Al’s original voice.
