Singing for the Animals
Plumes
Our Music of the Week team is charmed by this French singer Plumes, who is trending on social media with his pink guitar and his songs for animals. Plumes started singing for the cows on his grandmother’s farm and was so intrigued by their curiosity and their patient and aware listening that it changed his whole perception of the relationship between humans and animals. Since then, he has continued singing for a variety of animals, even the altogether shy okapi (“zebra giraffe”), and all of them react in such a unique and sincere manner that it has made people pause and reconsider their own views of animal intelligence.
Music has all the characteristics of a language, and it may be the most effective interspecies communication tool we have. All animals love music. And with the special resonance that Plumes seems to carry in his voice, the most beautiful conversations become possible.

Singing to the Animals videos are so enchanting. Really shows how music is the language understood by all of life. Each one was more amazing than the one before it. Thank you, thank you Solari for my joy fix today.
These videos were a “gotcha”…
What come closer to the heart than uncorruptible innocence?
