Music of the Week: Sept. 10, 2021: Arvo Pärt – Tallinn Chamber Orchestra

In this concert, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir play some of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt’s best-known pieces under the direction of conductor Tõnu Kaljuste. Pärt was the most performed living composer in the world from 2011 to 2018.
Often described as mystic or holy minimalist, his music is an interesting mix of Gregorian chant, Renaissance music, and serialism.
