Now This Toon is Spot – On!

Our gifted cartoonist Bob Parsons and I have been wrangling over a cartoon about what is happening in the Ukraine. He keeps thinking events reflect decisions being made by Obama and Putin whereas I am watching an all time S&P Index, with powerful investors hungry for new assets and income to run through their balance sheets and politicians on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean looking to serve them well – things that break down into competition for EU gas markets, reported movements of Ukraine gold, and access to warm water ports.
Last week, he sent me this proposed Toon:
So I called Alaska and said we had to make it about the “the deeper game.”Then he sent me this proposed Toon on Thursday:
I lost my temper and responded:
STOP IT. STOP THE D**K THING BETWEEN OBAMA AND PUTIN. IT IS NOT REAL. IT IS A COMPLETE DISTRACTION. Please listen to the money and markets I recorded tonight.
I then sent him a copy of Charles Hugh Smith’s article on Soft Weapons and a chart of the US stock market going up while the Russian ETF went down.
So he sent me back the Toon at the top about tearing my hair out.
So now you know why this week’s Solari Toon is not about the Ukraine but about the fun we have on the Solari Report finding creative ways of explaining the “deeper game.”
When it comes to doing that, nobody does it better than Bob. His last Solari Toon on the UFO question is one of the top cartoons ever drawn!
