Protect Your Privacy

Take Action

with Dr. Jon Padfield

“The government’s been in bed with the entire telecommunications industry since the forties. They’ve infected everything. They get into your bank statements, computer files, email, listen to your phone calls…. Every wire, every airwave. The more technology used, the easier it is for them to keep tabs on you. It’s a brave new world out there. At least it’d better be.”

  1. This is so good!

I didn’t know Dr. Jon Padfield before, so thank you for the recommendations. The mic-lock is a god sent. I have been looking for something like it for a while since the software equivalent mostly cannot be trusted.

Luckily, in Australia, there are still a handful of carmakers still sell new cars without connected services. I appreciate Jon mentioned about not servicing at dealers, it’s something I didn’t think about before. Landmines everywhere!

The multiple personality disorder I have observed around me are people who happily let American big tech firms know nearly everything about them, yet as soon as it is Chinese surveillance, people are up in arms about it. Personally I am much more concerned about Google liquidate me than the CCP does.

  2. A woman was outside my house this morning taking pictures of my cat sitting on the front step. I told her to stop. She became absolutely irate and stormed off. Now, there are photos of both my cat and my address for the snitch lines.
    This is all nuts.

    1. You should have told her it was fine to continue as long as she told you who was paying her and how much they were paying. 🙂

    1. 100%!!!!
Just spent a few days with a terrific software developer who has refurbished his dads 1984 mercedes.

      1. Have considered a 1989 560SL as a secondary vehicle but it may be too high profile for our coming times.

  3. Wonderful and informative interview! I will check out his websites. If you have suggestions for buying a non-Smart TV, I would like to know where these can be found. I have an older Samsung with no camera, and am concerned it might not last as long as me.

Also if you have home insurance options, ie, for catastrophic coverage, without the bells and whistles (and privacy invasions), I’m sure your viewers would appreciate alternatives to Liberty Mutual/Safeco. I own my home so don’t legally need it, but think a catastrophic non-invasive policy, might be preferable. When you add up all the required insurances (health, auto, home, it definitely feels like we are all subsidizing surveillance on us.

Yesterday I visited an elderly friend in the hospital and discovered they had installed a new “security” system. (Their old one was equivalent to a personal TSA boarding search–pass through a metal detector, search of purse and carry-on’s, etc), which I thought was way too invasive!.

The new one (required for entry) has them recording Real ID and linking it to a facial monitoring camera for confirmation. No “opt out” options. I was appalled and protested, and intend to write a letter to the hospital, sharing a copy with the Colorado State Health Dept., and Attorney General, and the local newspaper.

I definitely plan to avoid all unnecessary visits to this hospital!

  4. Thank you so much for this show, what an incredible guest Dr Jon Padfield is. I learnt so much from his talk, and have bought a few things thanks to his recommendations.
