I like the vision of solar freakin roadways and see this as a Manhattan or moonshot type vision. The sentiment is right even if the economics does not immediately make sense. There again the idea of spending a trillion dollars a year on military intervention to secure oil reserves in the early part of this century doesn’t make sense either. Come to think of it giving the banks billions (trillions?) of unaccountable funds back in 2008 does not make sense either. So form your own opinion.
