We’re partial to farmers here at the Solari Report. We are particularly partial to farmers who help other people learn how to farm, like Dave Andrews.
Dave is the executive director of Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in East Troy, Wisconsin. Dave served as Global Programs Specialist with Iowa State University Extension and previously was Story County Extension Education Director. David has owned and operated Green Vale Farms in Melbourne, Iowa, for 25 years. And, are you ready for this, he has also managed farming operations in Romania, Philippines, Africa and the Middle East.
Dave was recruited to Michael Fields by founders Chris and Martina Mann, who created Michael Fields to help preserve, grow and teach biodynamic farming. Under Dave’s leadership, Michael Fields has made an effort to reach out to veterans interested in learning how to farm. We think helping returning vets is something everyone should do.
