If you were thinking that the only things we have to be concerned about include wars, famines, and economic crashes, think again.
The earth’s climate has been significantly affected by the planet’s magnetic field, according to a Danish study published in January 2009 that could challenge the notion that human emissions are responsible for global warming.

Interesting read. Paul LaViolette, Ph.D, has also been writing about cosmologic events causing severe climate changes on earth also accounting for its ice ages. Specifically he discusses galactic superwaves and cosmic dust as significant contributing factors. Our solar system may in fact be nearing a dusty region produced by the North Polar Spur. His book _Earth Under Fire_ first published in 1997 may have been considered wildly polemic at that time, but now might provide a plausible explanation. In it he also discusses the knowledge of the ancients and the cosmologic secrets locked into astrology. I found it an interesting read.

Actually, the submarine USS Skate surfaced in open water at the north pole fifty years ago.
