From the transcript:
Catherine: We’re calling this interview with Joe Mysak “Insight on the Municipal Market.” Joe is certainly a person who has extraordinary insight on this market. He’s made a career of helping his readers understand the municipal bond markets and on all sides of it. He’s got a wonderful book called Handbook for Muni Bond Issuers. If you’re a public official, handling your bond issuance and your finances is unbelievably important.
Because this is a complex market, there are many things that have to go right to do manage municipal finances smoothly. If bond issuance goes wrong, it can significantly raise your cost of capital or hurt the local finances, so it’s very important. I think the handbook is a wonderful book for you or government officials you know who could benefit from it. Now Joe has a new book that’s fantastic. It’s the Encyclopedia of Municipal Bonds: A Reference Guide to Market Events, Structures, Dynamics and Investment Knowledge.
