  1. Hello Catherine:
What do you think about sheets of 24k real gold dollar bills being put out by goldbacks.com? Mike Adams at HealthRanger has run some through his testing equipment and finds them more than honest at his Verified.com

    1. Jo:

is that the correct URL? Doe not get to a working site.

If it is the system, I am thinking of you are paying at 100%= premium over spot for somethng that can be digitized and tracked.

      Catherine

      1. Goldbacks are coins (though rectangular and very thin). They can NOT be digitized or tracked. I don’t know how you think that can be done when there is only gold and plastic in them.

        1. What is the premium over the spot price that they sell and price as?
Plastic can always be digitized. For that matter, almost everything can be – including humans.

          1. Sorry I missed this reply earlier. On 2/22 the premium is about 109%, but keep in mind this is based on 1/1000 troy oz. of gold and the premium always goes up as the net weight gets smaller. One Goldback is $4.23 today.
I don’t believe they can be digitized because they are fungible – you can’t distinguish between one in my pocket and one in someone else’s pocket.
As Carolyn said in the 2/16 recording, it comes down to what your community is willing to trade with.

          2. After submitting the last comment, I went and checked to be sure about the fungible claim, and found that they do actually have a serial number, so I accept that they could be digitized like any other uniquely identifiable physical item.
