  2. Catherine…I read with interest this week of the conviction of John Stumpf, the past CEO of Wells Fargo. Never again to enter any work with money or securities positions; he has also been fined $17.5 million dollars for the scandals he brought about with the credit card fraud,and other nasties committed by Wells in 2016. They also have fined Carrie Tolstedt ( former Wells Fargo Community Bank head) $25 million dollars. With your experiences in this world, do you think that this is a trend (actual prosecution) in trying to clean up the big banks, or is this just a “fall on the sword” to make an example? I used Wells for years when I was in business, and have watched them go down in all areas in the last 30 years. Dodd Frank, rules and regs, or just plain greed?

      Clearly, FASAB 56 makes it easier for them to do this.

      Or this could be the NY Fed & Bushies who now control Fed and DOJ asserting control over the SF/California crowd. With Jamie Dimon getting a big raise there is clearly no rejection of the federal fraud model.
