This 6-pillar curriculum teaches the basic literacy we need to be personally and financially successful and to do so in a manner in which together we evolve a culture that supports the emergence of an advanced human civilization.
This idea is not just for Halloween; you can promote cash any time. Use birthdays, graduations, holidays, and other occasions as an excuse to educate family, friends, and neighbors about the importance of using cash.
I told my sisters that I was giving quarters out for Halloween, and they both told me the kids would not like it. So I broke down and got some chocolates. But gave out both a chocolate and a quarter. The kids were so excited about the quarter that every single one of them ran back to the sidewalk saying “that lady gave me a quarter!” I had at least 30 little ones show up with parents, and they all walked away talking about the quarters. So I asked what they would do with it: in their piggy bank; in their bunny bank; in the gumball machine. Made me laugh. Next year two quarters and no chocolates.
People have told me their houses would get egged, the kids would only want candy and be upset, etc, etc.
But if you actually TRY IT, the response is pretty unbelievable.
Kudos to you for having the courage to try it, and many thanks for reporting back!
