“When you buy a stock in the secondary market, you’re absolutely supporting that company—you’re supporting their brand, and you’re supporting how much their leadership makes.”
~ Catherine Austin Fitts
In this two-minute audio excerpt (above) from the Ask Catherine & the Solari Team episode published on September 4, 2026, Catherine and Solari general counsel Carolyn Betts comment on how stock purchases in the secondary market support the companies in question.
The secondary market is where “investors trade previously issued securities without involving the original issuing companies.” This is as distinct from the primary market, where new securities are initially created and issued to raise capital.
As Catherine explains, a company’s stock price is a critical component of its cost of capital—the higher the stock price, the lower the cost of capital. The stock price also influences the value of employee and management stock options.
The bottom line for investors: Investors can vote with their money and withdraw support from companies that are poisoning them or building the control grid.
