Ricardo Oskam, Vanessa Harlander, and the Solari Builders

Solari’s inaugural course for the Solari Builders (name change from Young Builders), started by Ricardo Oskam and Vanessa Harlander, is now transitioning to an ongoing network with monthly meetings and future events.

The course concept builds on one of the basic premises of Solari’s Building Wealth curriculum—that building living and financial equity requires an accurate map of reality and mastery of a wide set of skills. We congratulate Ricardo, Vanessa, and the Solari team for their superlative job shepherding an impressive group of 28 Builders through the pilot course, which consisted of both online and in-person offerings.

The weekly online lecture-discussions covered topics such as investing, economics, politics, local activism, health, science, design, art, and culture. The sophistication on display during the lively question-and-answer portions of these sessions was truly inspiring.

Complementing the online component, there was a highly successful in-person gathering this spring in Florida, with a second gathering forthcoming in Italy. Several Builders have joined additional gatherings and Meet and Greets as Catherine, Ricardo, and the Solari team travel throughout the United States. For young adults who are generally saturated with screen time, there is little doubt that the opportunity to connect in person with like-minded Builders was not only a course highlight but also the catalyst for an enduring and supportive network that will help course graduates continue to participate in ongoing activities and thrive.
