The Case for Gold and Silver

January 25, 2025

“The U.S. dollar was the second-best performing currency over the past century, second only to the Swiss franc. The United States was the largest economy in the world throughout this period, and the dollar rose to become the world reserve currency during this time. And yet, holding U.S. government bonds during their time of ascent and dominance underperformed simply holding gold.””

I just finished recording the Annual Equity Overview with financial planner Tim Caban for Solari Report subscribers. We reviewed market performance in 2024—currency, fixed income, commodities, and equities. We also reviewed the new Rambus Chartology, which provides an in-depth look at the long-term technical trends in equities and precious metals.

I have been following precious metals since 2000. I don’t remember a time when the case for gold and silver was as strong as it is today. If you do not yet own gold and silver, now is the time for you to consider doing so.

If you are new to gold and silver, please do not acquire or invest until you educate yourself about these assets and best practices on how to acquire and manage them. In October 2024, Tim and I did an in-depth review of gold and silver and the basics you need to get going, as well as providing links to other Solari Report resources on gold and silver.

You can see the Rambus Chartology and 2024 charts at the 2024 Annual Wrap Up web presentation under the Financial Markets section.

Our Equity Overview will publish on January 28. Consider this a heads-up for those of you who want to get going now.
