  1. Happy Christmas Birthday Catherine! Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy, Prosperous, less “bizarro world” New Year 2024!

    1. And Merry Christmas to you too! Just did an amazing drive from Netherlands to Prague – Christmas markets hammered by rain, but so so beautiful. Great sadness on the shootings at the University. On to Vienna in a blizzard. Was supposed to be 4 hours, Took 9. Vienna christmas markets hammered by sleet and cold rain. Then on to Salzburg – we sang Silent Night in Arnsdorf and said prayers for peace. Was staying in a hotel chosen for old world charm. Oops redone in Salzburg to cater to Chinese tourists. Salzburg is still beauitful under the Austrian Alps. Then a drive up the Thine home – we are about an hour away. Moral of the story – the great reset is hard on everybody, especially the cities. Week before was Paris and Milan – no one does Christmas decorations like the fashion folks!

  2. Thank you for this! I did not know this Bach work. One of the musical highlights of my life was singing his Mass in B Minor with a professional orchestra when I was a vocal performance major in college.
