Money & Markets

The Wages of Fakery

In this week’s Money & Markets, Catherine and John Titus delve into ‘The Wages of Fakery.’ They discuss the broad economic implications of pervasive fakery, from banking ties to Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal to more honest bubbles in various parts of the U.S.

They examine significant lawsuits against major banks tied to Epstein, the fallout from fake riots in Portland, and the impact of financial fakery on the American working class, particularly within the used car market.

The discussion also covers moves towards implementing digital IDs in the UK, practical pushback strategies, and the role of cash in maintaining financial freedom.

  1. Great clip of Rep Auchincloss getting called out about funding from AIPAC! I shared it with my teenage students here in Cambodia and they cheered! I also just received this from a friend who is a Christian Aid worker in Jordan: “Some REALLY good news!—Finally, after 2 years of war there are some Palestinians allowed (75 so far) to come to Jordan for medical treatment in the last couple of weeks—they are all children accompanied by an adult. If the ceasefire holds, more will be able to come. So please pray for that. We have started to visit them one by one and bring them needs like cash, clothes, toys for the kids, etc. When they crossed the border they weren’t allowed to bring anything—only a phone, phone charger and a small amount of cash–only. Not even their wallet—just the clothes on their back. Please pray for me for wisdom in ministering to these refugees, strength & supply to meet their needs.”…..I asked her to tell the children from Gaza that some kids in Cambodia have been praying for them and their families since the bombing began and will continue to do so. She replied, “Thanks. Will pass on the message!”…..Keep up the great work Catherine, John and all Solari team.

  2. I just discovered interviews from a Silicon Valley group pushing back on Silicon Valley! It’s called The Nerd Reich on utube, and they publish at TheNerdReich.com beginning in 2/2025. I thought I was extreme in my opinion–this group confirms how anti-human they really are. Below is an interview with Karen Hao, author of “The Empire of AI” and Roger McNamee, investment capitalist. Roger mentored Mark Zuckerberg and is an anti toxic technocracy activist especially social media. It is hosted by Gil Duran. I recommend checking out all their podcasts on the new evil colonizers.

Latest interview: “The Woman Who Predicted Tech Fascism”, Pauline Borsook, author of “Cyberselfish”.

    1. Sounds very interesting. Hao is quite good. On my list to do a Book review of Empire of AI. Will check out. Thanks

  3. Spot on analysis, story 5 around minute 35. Some vet friends who recalled the 1980s interdiction in the drug cartels in places like Columbia recalled experiences where they were taking out some of the drug lords, but others were off limits. I think Catherine is spot on about the interactions with the cartels. It’s not entirely clear what the administration is planning and only time will tell. A lot of changes are a foot. The average person will probably not notice.

The lack of governance is a huge problem. California is a very poorly run state. If you haven’t experienced large numbers of illegals, I guess you haven’t lived. The exhaustion is real for the citizens who live in California. If you are correct that there is exhaustion in areas with low numbers of illegals that surprises me.
