    The UK’s Energy Bill is a monster in every sense, now heading dor Royal Assent.

    Clauses around the 240-250 mark are overtly totalitarian, and link into all Sandi Adams and many others have talked about. I raise this as, although specific to the UK, the lockstep of recent years suggests this is policy that will miraculously appear fully formed, elsewhere.

    The article below is a rather brilliant synthesis – law 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 – of what is going on globally, with particular reference to this bill. At least that structuring seems brilliantly helpful to me. Thought this might be of particular interest to JT.

    2. Some 277 Conservative MP’s voted ‘AYE’ to that bill. Labour perhaps decided not to interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake.
      As someone put it :
      “Property owners who don’t comply with new energy rules may face prison. Ministers want to grant powers to create new criminal offences and increase penalties as part of efforts to hit net zero targets.”

    1. Would not surprise me if the contract numbers are bigger, just need to be kept secret.
