Jack DesBois is a subscriber, and we love his music!

Jack is a multitalented singer, actor, music and performing arts teacher, and someone who believes in the value of true education. He was brought up in a family and household filled with books and classical education, with a spirit that was kindled and kept aflame, it seems, by his mother who started to read to Jack and his siblings from an early age to beyond the time they were able to read themselves. Books, music, and the arts have become an integral part of life for Jack and his siblings, who are now running an educational enrichment service providing Renaissance tutoring to individual students, home-school groups, or school programs, in addition to music and voice lessons. For Music of the Week, we have chosen Jack on the back porch singing one of his own songs, which is a protest song that attests to the poise and intelligence that profound education can engender in us all. The song is also on his latest album, My Brother, My Sister, My Kin.
