Loving Art

There are many ways to love art and many ways to pass this love on to others.

If you enjoy Saturday afternoons in the museum with your friends and family, you are already in favor of having art museums, but here are a few thoughts to further justify the effort we put into supporting art museums and the time we spend enjoying art.

For the next generation to appreciate art, their exposure to art should start young. Even in the most sophisticated art museums, there are plenty of ways to get youngsters engaged in the artworks around them. Young kids can be told tales about the pictures they see; older kids can be given assignments to find specific themes or paintings and write about them or draw what they see on the walls.
