Get Ready to Promote Cash on Halloween
As the threat of digital IDs and an all-digital control grid becomes ever more apparent, subscribers often ask us what they can do. We have consistently replied that one of the most user-friendly actions anyone can take is to USE and PROMOTE CASH.
For the past two years, inspired by subscriber Susan Luschas’s example, we have promoted Susan’s idea of creating a “Cash Is King” Halloween. Instead of poisoning trick-or-treaters with candy, Susan hands out dollar bills, placing “Cash Is King: Why Pay with Cash?” stickers on each bill. This has made her house one of the neighborhood’s most popular Halloween destinations, prompting the eager trick-or-treaters to run home and tell their parents about the merits of paying with cash. As a bonus, Susan also gives out pocket Constitutions.
The downloadable stickers list five key reasons to pay with cash every day:
- To save businesses money on transaction fees.
- So no one can track your purchases.
- To keep your location anonymous.
- So no one can control what you buy.
- To make it easier to only spend what you have.
Catherine often observes that if more people would regularly pay with cash, we could stop the digital control grid in its tracks.
We encourage our subscribers to follow Susan’s example on Halloween. In doing so, you can feel good about not contributing to the $3.5 billion that Americans spend on chemical candy each Halloween, and you can generate excitement among your youngest neighbors and, hopefully, their parents.
