Catherine Austin Fitts is an American investment banker, former government official, and financial commentator. She began her career on Wall Street, rising to managing director at Dillon, Read & Co., and later served as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under President George H.W. Bush (1989–1990). After government service, she founded and leads Solari, Inc., where she publishes The Solari Report and advises on investment strategies focused on community wealth, ethical finance, and transparency in public spending.
