  1. Catherine,

Please tells us or show us how to make travel reservations (flight and hotel at the least) and still be able to pay with cash.

    With loving kindness,

    1. Deborah,
I am sure Catherine will have some ideas as well, but I thought I would put in my two cents since I researched this a while ago and am trying to use cash! Here are my suggestions and links:

I bought a plane ticket at the airport counter with cash. I did have to part there, walk in, stand in line etc… but it was worth it. Call before you go to make sure they will accommodate you. Here is an article that tells you how to buy a plane ticket with cash: https://blog.remitly.com/travel/can-you-buy-a-plane-ticket-with-cash/

This link below has a list of car rental agencies that will accept cash as a deposit and then let you pay with cash when you return. It depends on the local agency but I have done this on two occasions. https://firstquarterfinance.com/car-rental-companies-that-accept-cash-deposits/

As for hotels, some let you pay for your hotel room with cash after your stay. This includes Extended Stay America, Motel 6, Hyatt, and Radisson. There are restrictions though. Some hotel companies will only accept cash at certain locations and most hotels still require a credit card to reserve the room and at check-in to cover any incidental charges or damage to the room.
But, at least you pay the bill with cash and use your debit card to hold the room.
I found that local motels and extended stay places are more open to helping you pay with cash vs a credit card. You just have to ask.

      Hope that helps!

      Happy Thanksgiving,
      Jennifer
